Dear Wildlife Enthusiast,
If you love good times and the outdoors like we do, you won't want to miss the
Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation-High Country Chapter – annual banquet and
fundraiser all done for the good of wildlife and their habitat.
This year's banquet is Saturday May 2nd at the High Country Home builders Association. We will begin our social hour at 5:30 PM. Please order your tickets as soon as possible so that it makes planning easier for the committee. Many of you have attended in the past and are aware of the great time we have at our banquets. If you know of someone who is a big game hunter or a conservationist who has not been to a RMEF banquet. Please tell him/her about us.
We hope that you will join us for an evening of fellowship that benefits such
a worthy cause. As our guest you can expect a delicious dinner and a wonderful
night of bidding and bragging with old and new friends. Conservation is our
goal and we hope you will join us in promoting this cause in our state. We will
feature various rifles and shotguns from Browning, Winchester, Ruger and Remington.
Great optics too! Scopes and Binoc's, limited edition wildlife prints, numerous
knives, jewelery, trips and much more.
In North Carolina, the Elk Foundation has enhanced 425 acres of critical elk habitat for elk restored to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Elk once roamed North Carolina, but were gone from the state by 1850. Beginning in 2001, the Elk Foundation and the National Park Service released elk into the park as an experimental population. Today more than 80 elk roam the park and wildlife officials say they are here to stay. By joining us on Saturday, May 2, 2009, you'll help us do even more.
