What is a "Big Game Banquet?"From the title, people often think that it will be a bunch of hunters sitting around eating meat from wild animals. In truth, this would be agreeable to many who attend. However, others may not be as agreeable. Our purpose for the big game banquet is to raise money for the preservation of habitat for elk and other wild animals. The natural habitat for these animals is disappearing at an alarming rate. Our organization is made up of hunters, hikers, conservationists, and many other lovers of the outdoors.Once a year, each chapter of the RMEF comes together to celebrate and contribute to this marvelous cause. We do this by inviting members and friends to join us for dinner, usually a buffet provided by the banquet site. We will have a live auction, a silent auction and an assortment of games and raffles. Volunteers Welcome!This is an occassion for hunters and conservationists to come together in support of wildlife and habitat preservation.
